Protect Black Freedom is a campaign focused on shifting the material conditions of Black poor, and working class communities across North Carolina through community building, relational organizing, and civic engagement. This campaing is committed to centering the needs of our people and building communities that can heal and be heard. We hope to end the exploitation, over-policing, and violence Black and working-class communities face in North Carolina. We are protecting Black freedoms, because we know that anti-black racism is root cause of all social disparity's in NC and across the country.
Moving in alignment with a long history of political action and in solidarity with global liberation movements, we ask you to join us in our ongoing activation and keep Black folks safe.

Grounded by the collective Freedom vision articulated in the NC Freedom Papers, NC BLOC is in a commitment to building the world we dream of. A world without police, prisons, fascists in power, and racist Demoracies. We want to build a world where our children can play safely, we each can heal our trauma, and live on a vibrant, thriving earth.
What are the NC Freedom Papers?
The North Carolina Freedom Papers are a collectively developed mixed media document that seeks to articulate the bold visions of Black Led formations and communities across NC. The freedom papers were inspired by the Dream Defenders Freedom Papers from Florida, created with the input of more than 50 black-led individuals and organization from across NC , under the guidance of Dasan Ahanu and Julu Holton.
We hope that these Freedom Papers inspire you to dream, beleive in, and fight for the world and future we deserve.
